Cicim Weave small rustic vintage Turkish Hand-woven village made Kilim (Kelim) from Usak - West Turkey - this area has been renowned for many years for its kilim weaving traditions and they still make new rugs in this region.
Kilim Rugs from Usak normally have geometric or striped patterns with hand-spun wool - this piece is woven using the flat-weave cicim weft wrapping weaving technique in wool and cotton. This unique Kelim Rug from Turkey measures approx 73x112cm (2.4½ x 3.8ft) excluding any tassels - we love the colourful cicim embroidery against the lighter cotton based background on this little rug.
