Selendi is a town and district of Manisa Province in the Aegean region of Turkey in the West. Selendi Rugs usually incorporate a stripe (mostly in kilim runners) or a geometric square design using a weaving technique known as zilli or cicim which is where the flat weave kilim is then over embroidered.
