Gorgeous soft coloured old vintage village traditional Turkish Cal Kilim Rug. This is an original and authentic piece hand-woven in wool using the kilim flatweave weave technique and measuring approx 109x168cm (3.7 x 5.6ft) excluding any fringes - we love the stunning pale colours together with the very interesting design and central medallion - this is a nice old rug so would be great on a wall or in place in the home where it would get slightly lighter usage. See more about Rug Motifs, Symbols & Meaning here.

Cal is a small town north-east of Denizli known for weaving both flat-woven and pile knotted rugs although not many rugs are now made in this area. Kilims from the Cal region are quite unusual and have interesting geometric patterns and colours such as burnt orange, terracottas and blues.
