Turkish Kilim Rug - Authentic and Unique
Flatwoven using Flatweave Kilim technique as well as decorative cicim weft wrapping.
Generally good quality wool is used in these Kilims.
This small Vintage Kilim (Kelim) from Turkey measures approximately 73cm wide by 109cm long.
Sivas (Central Anatolia) is a place of great historical importance on the silk route where a mix of people, Kurdish, Turkish and Armenian have lived for centuries.
Anatolian Sivas Rugs are some of the oldest rugs and have a similarity to those of the nearby Malatya region with varied small filler motifs and bold colours such as reds, greens and oranges.
Each of our Kilim Rugs are individual and no two are the same - all our Turkish Sivas Kilims are semi-antique pieces ranging from 50 to 60 years old and make great, functional and decorative interior floor coverings.
