This traditional vintage Luri Hamadan rug measures approximately 149x208cm (4.10½ x 6.10ft) excluding any fringes - this is quite out of the ordinary, the cream background and purple and pink colours are stunning. These rugs are usually woven with hand spun wool pile with cotton warps giving a good strong and robust rug that will last for many years. These authentic Persian carpets come from the villages within the greater Hamadan area of north west Persia and typically have geometric designs but occasionally will have an all over pattern.
