A pretty, handwoven vintage Turkish Karapinar flatweave kilim rug. This rug comes from the village of Karapinar which is within the Konya region of Turkey (Karapinar means "black spring"). Flat-woven using the cicim weft wrapping weave kilim technique. Traditionally Kilims from the Konya region come in a wide range of designs. This original vintage wool Kilim rug measures approximately 98x120cm (3.2½ x 3.11ft) excluding any fringes - we love the unique charm of this beautiful old rug, featuring an interesting design and motifs created with the cicim weft-wrapping kilim technique. As an older piece, it’s best suited for low-traffic areas or used as a wall hanging, table cover, or similar space.
