Salihli is a small town in the environs of Manisa in the Aegean region of West Turkey. Manisa is an old city not far from Izmir, it is an industrial region but has lots of farming and agriculture in the outlying areas. The villages surrounding Manisa are famous for their prized weavings such as Yunt Dağı, Gördes, Kula, and Salihli, although weaving has all but stopped in this area.
