Azerbaijan sits north of Persia next to the Caspian Sea and was formerly part of the Soviet Union; these Kilims are also known as Dagestan Soumaks. The measurements of this original flat weave wool kilim are approx 195x362cm (6.4½ x 11.10½ft). This is a beautifully woven piece, very substantial and heavy - finely woven in gorgeous colours.
