This huge sized Afghan Ghalmouri vintage Kilim is a beautiful and unique one-of-a-kind rug that has been hand-woven in central Afghanistan (kilims can also be referred to as kelims, gelim, gilim). This traditional flatwoven wool kilim rug measures approximately 310x400cm (10.2 x 13.1½ft) excluding any fringes - this rug, with its soft earthy tones of pinks and browns, would work well as a statement piece in a large room, its understated design adding warmth and character to a space. Typically, geometric designs are used and these flatweave Kilims usually come in a variety of earthy colours which can include blue, grey, burnt orange and terracotta, amber and creams and rich browns.  Ghalmouri Kilims are of a fine quality and although appear similar to other Afghan Kilims, Ghalmouri's have a superior wool quality and a finer weave.  Handwoven in 100% wool.
