This hand-woven flatweave Turkish Yunt Dagi Runner Rug is a perfect size for a narrow and long hallway - would be great in a corridor or hallway. Yunt Dagi is in the Aegean region of Western Turkey. This runner from Turkey measures approx 82x227cm (2.8 x 7.5½ft) in cicim and zilli weave - Note, this piece is slighter brighter in colour towards one end. Every one of our runners are unique and one of a kind.
Yunt Dagi is an outlying area of Manisa which is an old city not far from Izmir, it is an industrial region but has lots of farming and agriculture in the outlying areas. The villages within Yunt Dagi are famous for their prized weavings, although weaving has all but stopped in this area but occasionally we do find nice vintage pieces like this one.
