Stunning and-woven semi-antique Turkish Corum Kilim Runner Rug - a long and narrow size flat-weave rug which is perfect for hallways and corridors. This hallway kilim from Turkey measures approximately 109x430cm (3.7 x 14.1ft) - handwoven in wool using the flat slit weave technique - we love the pretty design in this piece together with the soft greens and the interesting motifs and emblems throughout this runner. Corum is on an ancient trade route in northern Anatolia populated by Turkic Yoruks who lead a semi-nomadic way of life moving between summer and winter pastures where they set up their encampments (Yayla). Corum was renowned for producing rugs in bright red, blue yellow, brown, green and blacks. Not many rugs are made in this region anymore unfortunately.
