Rustic vintage tasselled, embroidered Uzbek suzani tent decoration (saye qosha, Segosha, or segusha); made of satin in “V” shape. These were used as decorations over the front of piles of bedding that would be stored around the edge of the tents or yurts. The satin fabric background is hand embroidered with a multicoloured design in cotton thread. This textile measures approximately 95x110cm (110 down) when open as shown on wall. We love the band of intricate embroidery together with the wonderful original tassels which feature glass beads and metal embellishments. This would make a fabulous wall hanging or large tie back to some curtains. (Note that one end is cut). Suzani means “needlepoint” in Farsi. Find out more about Suzanis here.
