Decorative vintage tasselled embroidered Uzbek suzani tent decoration (saye qosha, Segosha, or segusha) in “V” shape. These were used as decorations over the front of piles of bedding that would be stored around the edge of the tents or yurts. The cotton fabric background is hand embroidered with a multicoloured design in cotton thread. This textile measures approximately 86x86cm (as shown on the wall across and down) we love the intricate embroidery and the blue around the top of the tassels together with the decorative glass red and blue beads in this piece. This would make a fabulous wall hanging or large tie back to some curtains. Suzani means “needlepoint” in Farsi. Find out more about Suzanis here.
