A very attractive large authentic semi antique Azerbaijan Kilim Rug woven in Soumak flat weave (weft wrapping). Azerbaijan sits north of Persia next to the Caspian Sea and was formerly part of the Soviet Union; these Kilims are also known as Dagestan Soumaks. The measurements of this original flat weave wool kilim are approx 206x325cm (6.9 x 10.8ft) excluding any tassels - we love the very out of the ordinary colours of purples, blues and burgundies in this really beautiful flat-weave rug.
